Cameron Jibril Thomaz more known as Wiz Khalifa has become one of the most famous Mcs right now. Since 2006, Wiz Khalifa has pleased us with his voice. The first album called Show and Prove made him sign with Warner Bros. Records on 2007. He was born on 8 September, 1987, has been increasing rapidly his popularity across the USA and around the world. His songs are skycrapers.

What Wiz Khalifa means?

Where did it come his nickname? It is from two words in Arabic that mean successor and wisdom. Wisdom was shortened to Wiz when he was little. These two words were used to name him by his granddad who was Muslim. Nowadays, he has his nickname in his back.

Wiz Khalifa has influents of, Camp Lo, The Notorious B.I.G, 2Pac, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, Jimi Hendrix, etc… Beyond this things, we need to talk about Wiz Khalifa and his musical periods.

Wiz active periods, influences and record labels

First, Wiz Khalifa attracts Rostrum Records president Benjy Grinberg and he sign a contract with him in 2004. The next year, he released his first mixtape named Prince of the City: Welcome to Pistolvania, Rolling Stone magazine saw in Khalifa something like he was in that moment a diamond in the rough. In 2007, Wiz Khalifa signed to Warner Bros and he released two mixtapes. Khalifa left Warner Bros for troubles releasing Khalifa’s songs.

Second period is between 2009 and 2010, Khalifa released mixtape How Fly that makes a difference for the change of rapping all to a mix of rapping and singing. Then, Khalifa released his second album called Deal or No Deal. They Named him as Rookie Of The Year. After a short time, Khalifa released a free mixtape called Kush and Orange Juice who was a trending topic in Twitter.

In this musical period, had appeared in many remix and features for example Rick Ross. Wiz participated in the Soundset 2010 festival with many famous artists and he performed in the Rock the Bells festival in 2010 too.

Wiz Khalifa tours in the USA and Billboard charting

Another important thing to mention is that in this period Wiz Khalifa had his first Tour go all over 50 cities in USA. The third period is between 2010 and 2012. Here, he published a well-known song called Black and Yellow within Atlantic Records and it was number one on the US Billboard Hot 100. In 2011, he published his first studio album named as Rolling Papers in the US and raises the number two on the US Billboard 200 chart.

One year after, Wiz Khalifa spread that he was going to publish his second studio album called Only Nigga In First Class or better and easier known as O.N.I.F.C. Maybe, 50 Cent and Wiz Khalifa will make a film because they talked about it in this period.

Fourth period is between 2013 to present, in 2013 he announced that he was going to publish his fifth musical album and he named it as Blacc Hollywood. But. Until the next year he didn’t publish Blacc Hollywood. He declared that he was going to publish a new mixtape called 28 Grams.

The day before publishing this new mixtape he was arrested. Fortunately, he go out and he released this mixtape. I think that Wiz Khalifa is a very empathy person because he dedicated a song called See You Again to Paul Walker who was recently died.

He has been nominated a few times, certainly 14 times without count the two times when he won. He has one from 2011 called Best New Artist and in 2012 he won Top New Artist.

To sum up, Wiz Khalifa has been very active and loads of artists want to feature him. In my opinion Wiz Khalifa a good voice and I wish a big and long musical career because he deserves it. He deserves a special attention for his musical potential.
